World AIDS Day 2011

AIDS/HIV is not one of my diagnosis yet it is a passionate cause of mine and one I must share on. I lost my cousin Richard Roberts, son of Tylene and Russell, to the AIDS Virus. It ripped him away from this life before I was blessed to meet him. I only know that he was a special young man - Richard was in his 30's when he died. I Love You Cousin<3


Today is World Aids Day. Please help educate others around your community and around the globe by sharing the truth about this deadly illness and help shatter the myths that surround it. As a former Nursing Aid I was blessed with many wonderful patients and I had the privilege of caring for a few Aids patients who taught me as much as I taught them. Look beyond the disease to see the person...Please. 

The first cases of HIV/AIDS were reported in the early 80's - that is just 30 years ago. Centres for Disease Control and Prevention Information:
